- Every new feature starts off
Hello from the zittme team.
We are releasing zittme 1.1.0. It brings a site builder where you edit menus and design on one screen, new member and point management screens, a new editor called editorZ, and search and AI visibility features such as a sitemap, IndexNow, robots.txt, llms.txt and structured data. Every new setting starts turned off, so you can switch on only what you need.
WHAT'S CHANGED
What's changed
New features, changes, security and bug fixes, described by what you will notice on screen.
New Off by default
Language-specific URLs for multilingual sites
Languages other than the default get a language code at the front of the URL. /board/123 stays as it is, and the English version becomes /en/board/123. Each page also outputs hreflang markers that point the language versions at each other, plus x-default, so search engines do not treat the language versions as duplicate pages. You can turn this on under Admin > Advanced settings, and only on sites whose short URLs are set to "all". If you turn it off again, the old language URLs are still recognized and redirected to the default URLs, so your search results do not break. Language codes can no longer be used as a module address (mid). Sites that already use one keep working, but language URLs cannot be turned on in that state and a notice is shown.
New Off by default
Sitemap (/sitemap.xml)
Creates /sitemap.xml from the addresses registered in your site menu. It does not list every post, so the file stays small and updates quickly, and you can choose how many recent posts to include. Modules that are not shown in search, such as members, messages and notifications, and boards set to be excluded from search are left out. When language URLs are on, each entry also lists the addresses of the other language versions. Turning the sitemap on makes search robots visit more often, so turn it on after considering your server.
New Off by default
IndexNow instant notification
When you write, edit or delete a post, search engines are told the address right away. Naver and Bing receive it directly and pass it on to the other participating search engines, so new posts show up faster. Only the address and the time are sent, never the post text, and private posts are not reported. The notification is handled after the page has been sent, so writing is not slowed down and does not fail because of a search engine problem. When you turn it on, a key file is created in the web root automatically.
New Off by default
robots.txt management and AI crawler settings
Until now the package did not include a robots.txt. You can now create and edit it in the admin screen. Until you turn it on, your current file is left as it is, and the first time you turn it on, the existing contents are read in as they are. AI crawlers are switched on or off by purpose: for answers (reads pages to answer questions and names your site as the source), for AI search (reads pages to include them in AI search results) and for training (model training). By default, answers and AI search are allowed and training is blocked. When the sitemap is on, its address is also written into robots.txt.
New Off by default
AI guide file llms.txt
Provides a guide at /llms.txt that AI reads to understand your site. It is built from your site name, description and menu addresses.
New Off by default
Structured data (JSON-LD)
Pages now also output information that search engines and AI read. It covers site information (WebSite, Organization), posts (Article) and page paths (BreadcrumbList), and includes language information. Because the core outputs it rather than the skin, it stays in place when you change skins. Turn on "Structured data (JSON-LD)" under "Search visibility" in Admin > Advanced settings. Posts that need permission to view and secret posts are not output.
New Old screens kept
Site builder
Under "Site builder" at the top of the admin, you edit menus (sitemap) and design together on one screen. On the same screen you can add menus, rename them and change their addresses, drag to reorder and nest them, assign layouts and skins, set who can view, and add external links and shortcuts. Changes are saved right away and can be undone. If you run several sites (domains) from one installation, each site can have its own sitemap and design. Design is inherited from "Default", and you "set directly" only the menus you need. A new site wizard and per-site theme application are supported. For each menu you can turn search engine visibility, XML sitemap visibility and structured data visibility on or off, or hide it from the menu only. If you change a menu's type, the original module is kept as an "unconnected module" and can be restored in one step. The old sitemap and design settings screens and their save requests remain, so uploading alone does not change existing sites.
New
Starter kit
You can export your site setup (menus, boards, pages and module data) as a kit. Signatures and file hashes are verified, and after a preview the kit is installed in one go, with removal and rollback supported.
New Default on new installs only
New editor: editorZ
A lightweight new editor skin that works without external libraries. On newly installed sites, editorZ is the default editor (posts, comments and mobile). Sites that already exist keep their editor settings and can change them at any time under Admin > Editor settings. Tables, videos and quotes are saved directly inside the post so the writing screen and the saved post look the same, and body fonts and colors follow your site skin. It supports Korean composition input, indicators for active formatting, character count, drag-and-drop photos and cleanup of web and Word pasting, and includes text in six languages (ko en ja vi es zh-TW). HTML source view, font size, image resizing and editor components are available only in CKEditor, so switch to CKEditor in the editor settings if you need them.
New Default on new installs only
Error and notice screen skin: clean
A new skin for error and notice screens, clean, has been added. Only newly installed sites use it by default. Existing sites keep their current screens until an administrator chooses it.
New
Help when the database connection fails during installation
If the connection fails when you enter the database details, the installer now points out the cause. It tells apart a wrong ID or password, missing database permissions, a database that does not exist and a server that cannot be reached, and it also keeps the original message below for technical support. The database ID field now explains that the root account cannot be used and shows an example SQL for creating a dedicated account. Because the database ID and database name were sometimes entered the wrong way round, both fields now have examples and explanations.
New Off by default
Previous and next page markers for lists (rel=prev/next)
If you turn on "List previous/next page links (rel=prev/next)" in Advanced settings, previous and next page markers are added from page 2 of a list onward.
Change
New member management screens
The member list now has a single search box, quick views, condition chips, a detail panel and bulk actions (groups, points, messages, email verification, timed suspension, login block and withdrawal). Group management, signup form editing and member settings have also moved to new screens. Old addresses lead to the new screens with the same conditions, so your bookmarks keep working.
Change History logging off by default
New point management screens
The "Points" console inside member management brings the summary, rules, per-member history, bulk grants and reversals, CSV and levels together in one place. History logging is off by default and turns on only when an administrator clicks "Start recording history". Updating alone does not start recording point history.
Change
Consent for sending information to the Store
After you upgrade to 1.1.0, the first time you open the Store a consent screen asks once about sending your account information and domain to zitt.me. Nothing is sent before you agree. Only license checks and installation of paid items and account linking are unavailable until then, and free items keep working as before.
Change Default unchanged
Canonical URL output
Sites that turned off Open Graph did not output a canonical address, and this is now consistent. If you turn on "Always show canonical URL" in Advanced settings, it is output regardless of the Open Graph setting. This also reduces the case where an address like index.php?mid= points to the short URL so the same page is indexed twice. By default it still follows the Open Graph setting, as before.
Security Rhymix patch included
Rhymix 2.1.39 security and bug fixes included
Includes the security and bug fixes from Rhymix 2.1.39: blocking XSS and open redirects through legacy XML requests, the document ownership check, the message type check and the SVG sanitizer library (svg-sanitize) update to 1.0.0.
Bug fix
Existing logins of suspended or login-blocked members
Fixed a problem where the existing login of a suspended or login-blocked member was not ended.
Bug fix
Search result summary starting with CSS
Fixed a problem where, for posts that begin with a style block, the summary used in search results started with CSS.
Bug fix
Phone photo thumbnails appearing sideways
Thumbnails are now created using the photo's rotation information (EXIF). Thumbnails that were already created stay as they are, so if any look sideways, click "Delete all thumbnails" at the bottom of Admin > Document settings once. They are then recreated in the correct orientation the next time the list is viewed.
Bug fix
Poll widget message and theme deletion
Entering a poll number that does not exist in the poll widget used to show an error code, and it now shows a message instead. Also fixed: deleting a theme was blocked as "in use" just because its layouts remained, even though none were connected to any menu or site. Deletion is now blocked only when a layout or skin is actually used by a menu or site.
